In the region of Lombardy, lies Monza – just 9 minutes by train from Milan Central Station making it the perfect city for raising a family or living away from the bustle of Milan but being close enough to enjoy the cities facilities.

Monza is famous for its park – the biggest walled park in Europe which houses a farm, horse riding school, river, forest, cafes and of course the famous Gran Prix Track.

On the Gran Prix weekend Monza opens its city to the whole world and the city comes to life for this exciting sporting event.

The city centre of Monza has many shops to enjoy, the cathedral square is delightful and this is where the Monza Museum is located which hosts the crown of Queen Teodolinda. Taking an afternoon stroll through the city or park with a compulsory gelato (ice-cream) is a great Sunday activity.  Within the park, you will find Villa Reale – this is a beautiful Neo-Classical Palace with an Orangerie and flower garden, which can be visited at the weekend. There are also many events throughout the year such as concerts in the park and of course the Gran Prix.
