International Environment
For a small family feel school we are very international.
We embrace as many opportunities as possible to celebrate the cultural diversity within our school and support our community to be open-minded and embrace a wealth of cultures.
Boutique School
Our student/teachers ratio is very low. We value small classes, individual attention given by the teachers and students working in small groups. With this approach, students feel listened to and educators have the opportunity to document the students’ thinking in more responsive ways.
IB School Inspired by the Reggio Approach
We are authorized by the IB as a PYP school and take this certification very seriously. We always look to be innovative, to stay true to the values of the PYP and to provide a high quality of education. Being inspired by the Reggio Approach we consider the learning environments as the third teacher and we place value on them.
Collaborative Work
Students develop social and communication skills quickly at GIS thanks to the community feel of the school and the use of group work and group projects. As a small school students also collaborate across age groups
Park School
Outdoor learning is central to our curriculum and through our Park School approach we connect the outdoors to the curriculum offering something different in our educational approach.
Bilingualism and Multilingualism
Our school community is truly international. We place value on the multiple languages spoken in school and the multiple cultures.
Our Italian programme is very solid and rich for both the Italian native speakers and the international students.
